No context, no hard questions, just showing some benefits of the social system in Europe and interviewing far left people. We know America has less social protection and a lot of things can be said about it but listening to Moore won't help. If he thinks America should not invest so much in the military, then he should go ask the Europeans if they want to invest in the military because the social system in Europe exists under an American umbrella. That's a talk that could give some insight. He also singles out exceptional cases that are not representative.

Moore is essentially making other countries look much better than they actually are and America look worse than it acually is, by showing only european greatest achievements and letting go all the bad facts. This is called PROPAGANDA. Michael, don't be so superficial

This is a terrific movie of entertaining half-truths, outright lies, and hyperbole. Like a drug-addict desperately trying to find his next fix after the easy anti-right rhetoric that the Bush administration so expertly gave fodder to feed, Moore is like a hungry fat man on a mission to find the ultimate Big Mac. And again, the ultimate symbol of decadence, violence, and instability for him is America. a supposed gun-tooting, violent sports-loving, war mongering people, America is not unlike Mr. Moore, it's addiction being war. To be sure, America has taken a curious, dangerous turn in its politics the past four to five decades, arguably beginning in Viet Nam. However the portrayal of America as being essentially a destabilizing force motivated by profit is misleading and itself a dangerous ideology for several reasons. One it makes devaluates the real dangers by genuine regimes like North Korea, hell bent on destabilizing regions and proving to be non-rational agents. America is a rational agent and currently the only super power tasked with the unenviable position of being called upon as the world's police force that then so many despise America for with a damn-if-you-and-damn-if-you-don't lose-lose outcome. To be sure, there are those in America who are involved in profiteering from war and war makes for big business, but this fact is greatly exaggerated and its use to conclude that America is constantly on the prowl for a new nation to attach is both irrational and illogical. Who hear genuinely feels that without American naval presence in the Pacific Taiwan, Viet Name, or the Philippines would not be under ever tightening control of mainland China? Who genuine believes that without the US-lead coalition forces in the middle east Islamic State terrorists would not be ever more rampant? America is far from perfect but the world has overall greatly benefitted from America who has made the world more safer and keeps it safer than it would otherwise be. You'd be a fool to think or say otherwise. If anything, the world needs more a united coalition to reign in extremists and fairly confront the common problems like global climate change, ever limited finite energy resources, global diseases, and food and water shortages. Most of the wars today are for these reasons, and the supposed ideologies of extremists groups born out of them. This film however grossly glosses over all of these very important considerations and has all the sophistication of insight of that of a self-righteous immature high-school student doing a book report. Still, I would encourage people to view the film, as there is something to be learned from negative example on how to better address some of the serious issues that are so incompetently covered.

Comedy of the YEAR ....for sure By a MISLEADING documentary maker. After watching Sicko, I came to the conclusion that M Moore distorts some truthes and embellishes his content to invigorate appeal with greater contrast. From minute one, it was that again. The man states certain things and forgets to give full contexts. First of all: Why would the US invade NATO members. And Moore only travels to countries that are well off, except for Tunisia of course. So many things said are so half baked. Wow in Italy they get a 13th month pay. Did he mention that in Italy people are paid for 28 days but work for 30-31 days.So the 3 days they are not paid multiplied by 12 gives them a month which is settled at the end of the year by an extra cheque. Holiday Leaves that accumulate indefinitely...dream on buddy+ you got to work for the Govt. Too long to explain that one in full. Slovenia free education...sure for locals but not foreigners. Foreigners do not pay but their governments do. It is called mutual exchange program. Slovenians take 20 US students and give them a free pass which the US govt pays and the US does the same. Everything in this documentary can be countered sadly if you traveled a bit around the world. One last one, US Tax rate is 7 % on GS. The EU zone has 15 to 24 %. So it is normal they get more socially oriented services.

Michael Moore's work has been followed up on by many people only to find it completely false or at best misleading. I'd recommend "Michael Moore hates America" or "Manufacturing dissent" before you watch anything he produces. He's made million lying to people and feeding the idealist that don't bother to seek the truth on their own. I wouldn't classify this movie as a documentary but like any of his work, I'd be sceptical at best.

Oh man, its a Friday night and it must be a Libertard Double Feature. Up first you have Michael Moore who just a couple of years ago basically became a film makers version of Nicolas Cage. (Sorry Nic!) Divorced, broke and down on his luck, whats he do? That's right. Time to take a chomp outta Uncle Sam. Personally, I thought he kinda took it easy on Obama, but maybe that's still his homey. Dunno. Well, if you're able to keep your dinner down after watching this...please head on over and watch.....The Regurge Erection Year....errr...The Purge Election Year...oops..for more Libertard Friday Fun!

Well, another "Michael Moore kind of thing", this one is more optimistic but certainly biased in that he fails to mention that most of the countries he visited have thousands of years of history to have reached the current state of affairs. The problem with America (and I mean all of it, not just the US) is that we are still too young, we are less than 300 years old. I wasn´t going to write this, but Europe got to sack and plunder the rest of the World, and America, Africa, Asia were the victims of France, Portugal, Spain France and Britain, so maybe these societies should be seen in a different way taking that into account...

Mr Potter the rich banker from Bedford Falls said it best " Sentimental Hogwash" the grass is always gonna be a lot greener on the other side. We have "free" health care here n Canada but average wait times in an emergency ward could be any where from 4 to 5 hours depending on the emergency to see a doctor. And our mental health problems keep growing and no one is caring about those people because they are the least of every one's problems. Typical American fashion, instead of ending the movie with a serene, soft tone maybe show that something was learned no it ends with a punk song loud and bombastic in the end. LOUD and obnoxious just like the future President. meh.

it is a surprisingly lighthearted, sentimental panorama and a little comedy. it is familyfriendly and absolutely one sided. but I think it is not really offending, instead bears more of an touristic in-view. It is not all wrong and he picked interesting parts of the systems and compares them briefly. I think that the critics giving it too much of a meaning.

Dreaming of the American Dream and it hurts....besides the silly start with the absurd comparison to Italy which seems to be the land of plenty, when in fact is breaking all records of most negative social and political issues...all the rest was right on point and it makes you wonder why we seem to be decades behind the general pursuit of happiness and the next election will make us drop back even further...quite frankly I don't see any signs of catching up,Moore's provoking issues are well presented and hopefully they'll resonate enough to spark some so long waited for changes....9/10.

I've seen this doc a few weeks back and was blown away at how amazingly it's crafted and also, disgusted at how America treat's us. This is a very important docu to watch, so be sure to give it a viewing. You will not be disappointed

By the title I thought it would focus on our militarism, but it more talked about how different countries do things. I started really liking it about halfway through when it talked about Tunisia and Iceland. They have had revolutions in recent years, and they have really come out the better for it. I'm still trying to revolt by voting, but I am getting increasingly afraid that voting is not gonna fix it.

I love that Michael Moore's films are able to stimulate a discussion- on a variety of topics. This film will get you thinking about the American culture without being preachy or boring. I look forward to seeing more from him!
